My final year at Northern Michigan University included a packaging project that had one requirement: ornamentation. Paying homage to the detailed-oriented design process of generations past, we were to create a brand of our choosing as long as the identity included some sort of high-detail design. Using my mother’s maiden name and paying tribute to my Polish ancestry, I created Jandreski Farms. Designing the project main logo, secondary logo, color scheme and product packaging, Jandreski Farms was a hands-on project that gave me great real-world experience. Printing product labels, laser-engraving my packaging and setting up a photo shoot in an actual grocery store were just a few of the steps in this enjoyable, applicable project.
