When Barb Tullila approached me with a branding project for her new farm-to-table restaurant, I was immediately on board. Marquette, Michigan is an expanding community of organically-oriented residents and I knew this restaurant was just what the area needed. Root 41, named after the roots that families plant in the area and embrace for generations on end, needed a brand that conveyed their exact message. This identity needed to include the owners “green” state of mind, convey their family oriented setting and, most importantly, catch people’s attention at their ideal location on US-41. Working back and forth with the owners, we established a brand that did all of the above and then some. This branding project included logo, color scheme, menus, flyers, promotional cards and billboard signage. Root 41 has been continually growing ever since it’s establishment in 2014.
